Privacy Policy
Plain-English summary of what this service stores, what it doesn't, and how to have your data removed.
TL;DR
- No account, no email required.
- Flight logs you upload are stored on our server and tied to an anonymous workspace ID kept in your browser.
- Thermal images are processed in-memory and never written to our database.
- We don't run analytics, ad trackers, or third-party scripts.
- Server access logs (IP + request path) are kept for up to 14 days for abuse prevention.
What we collect
Workspace ID
When you first open the app, a random identifier (UUID) is generated and stored in
your browser's localStorage. This ID is how your uploaded flight logs
are linked back to your session on subsequent visits. It is not an account, it
contains no personal information, and we cannot link it to you personally.
Flight log files
DJI flight log files (.txt) that you upload are stored on our server
and associated with your workspace ID. Parsed telemetry (GPS tracks, battery
samples, event messages) is stored in our database so you can reopen flights
across sessions.
Thermal images
R-JPEG thermal images are processed in your browser and on the server only for the duration of the request. They are not stored in our database and are discarded immediately after processing.
Server logs
Our web server records standard access logs: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, and response status. These are retained for up to 14 days and used only to detect abuse and diagnose outages.
What we don't collect
- No names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- No cookies beyond what's technically required to operate the app.
- No third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, etc.).
- No advertising networks or fingerprinting.
- No cross-site tracking.
Where data is stored
Flight logs and parsed telemetry are stored on a single server located in the European Union. Data is not transferred to third parties.
Deletion
To delete everything tied to your workspace ID, email hello@djiflightdata.com with your workspace ID (visible in the app settings). We'll confirm deletion within 7 days.
Clearing your browser's site data for djiflightdata.com removes the
workspace ID from your device but does not delete the associated flight logs from
our server — use the email request above for full deletion.
Your GDPR rights
If you are in the EU/UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase any personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Because this service is anonymous by design, exercising these rights requires you to provide your workspace ID. Contact hello@djiflightdata.com.
